Personality Assessment and Interest Matching

Our Personality Assessment and Interest Matching tools identify your strengths, preferences, and passions to align you with personalized career paths. By understanding what drives you, we provide tailored recommendations to guide your next best step toward a fulfilling and successful career.

Industry Fundamentals

We will provide a curated course bundle – including highly engaging video and simulation courses – to target construction basics. Key learning objectives will cover topics such as: Intro to solar construction trades, building terminology, and hand tool safety

Employability Skills

To support job placement, our curriculum we will offer courses on the following: How to Create a Resume, Filling Out an Application, Getting Yourself Out, Understanding a Job Offer, How to Prepare for an Interview, and What to Expect in an Interview, among other employability skills.

Workforce Readiness Skills

Energy and construction employers have highlighted the criticality of workforce skills, both to develop critical “power skills or soft skills” needed to succeed in a workforce environment which include Decision-Making, Planning and Organization, Collaboration, and Active Listening

Life Skills

Our Life Skills Training equips you with essential tools for personal and professional success, focusing on communication, decision-making, financial literacy, and more. Build the confidence and skills needed to thrive in every aspect of your life and career.

Onramp Certifications

We will also provide an opportunity for to gain construction related certifications including OSHA 10 and the Red Cross CPR/AED certification.

Green Construction

Building Strong Communities is an multi-trade apprenticeship preparatory program that will prepare you for a career in the construction industry. Apprenticeship training is formal system of employee training that combines on-the-job training with related technical instruction.

Program Eligibility Requirements

Be at least 18 years old by May 1, 2025
Have earned a high school diploma / GED / or equivalent
Be able to pass a drug screen
Possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
NOT be currently enrolled in a construction union or construction trade training program
Legally eligible to work in the U.S

5th grade level reading and math
Basic computer skills
Must have a driver's license by the beginning of the internship

The Orientation Training will provide you with a strong foundation of general construction, with a focus on solar construction to help you identify the career that best suits you.

Solar is a rapidly growing industry in Minnesota, evidenced by project’s such as Xcel Energy’s Sherco Solar Project coming online.

Given the high demand for talent in this space, we also have relationships with local employers and can support you in finding direct employment if after completion of the orientation training you feel that may be a better fit for you.
