Native Sun Community Power Development is a Native-led nonprofit promoting energy efficiency, renewable energy and an equitable energy transition through education, workforce training and demonstration. Native Sun's vision is to help Native communities learn about climate change, clean energy, and provide leadership on a just transition to energy sovereignty. Native Sun aims to build routes out of poverty and from worsening impacts of fossil fuel emissions by growing new career options for Tribal communities. Our workforce training and career pathways in sustainable transportation and clean energy fields present avenues that have not traditionally been available in Native communities and foster climate resiliency
Julius Education focuses on career navigation and orientation training solutions for the energy industry. We know that one of the greatest challenges people face in taking advantage of energy careers is understanding options, gaining foundational knowledge, and charting their own career journey. Julius helps ensure everyone interested in energy jobs starts their journey with an industry orientation and career navigation program, to promote workforce outcomes and support access for diverse learners.
The Building Strong Communities program is a multi-trade apprenticeship preparatory program that will prepare you for a career in the construction industry. This program offers individuals the opportunity to receive Union endorsed training, exposure and a “foot in the door” to a career in the trades. Program graduates will have an opportunity to interview with participating Construction Trade Unions and Contractors.
